Pure glamour
Successful, beautiful and refreshingly unpretentious: meet Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Joana Greimers caught up with the British top model and BareMinerals ambassador in London for tea.
"For me, make-up is always associated with glamour and confidence"
Rosie, why does make-up play such a big part in your life?
As a child I watched my mother in fascination as she was getting ready for the office or for dinner. Since then, I have always associated make-up with glamour and self-confidence. Today, as a model, I sit in make-up almost every day and I love the transformation that you go through. I like the creative process that takes place between the experts and the model. Besides, I have always been crazy about cosmetics, I love everything about them: the colours, the packaging and the stories behind them.
Which look do you currently prefer to wear?
Since I became an ambassador for BareMinerals, I have rediscovered the Original Loose Foundation for myself. The pure mineral powder is really suitable for every skin type, and leaves the skin radiantly beautiful and even. I am also obsessed with the new BarePro Longwear Lipstick in the color cherry. It does not smear, and lasts all day long. I wear it during the day, just dabbed on with my fingers, for a natural colouring of the lips, and in the evening I wear it strongly, with defined contours as a statement.
Your favourite beauty tip?
I remove my make-up every evening, no matter how late it is. Besides, for me, beauty begins inside. A good lifestyle therefore means making as many small, healthy decisions as possible every day. This also includes 'clean' beauty products.
The British top model has not only built a career as a runway and editorial model, but is also one of the new generation of beauty entrepreneurs with her website Rose Inc. Nevertheless, the 32-year-old remains down-to-earth and enjoys spending her time with her husband, the actor Jason Statham, and son Jack Oscar.
